| Volunteer Training | | If you’ve been looking for a way to give back to your community, here’s your chance. The James House Intervention/Prevention Services will be offering volunteer training for prospective volunteers at no cost. Pre-registration and an application are required.
Sessions will be held from 6pm-8:30pm on the second Monday of each month in the agency’s main business office located at 1016 Maplewood Avenue, Hopewell, 23860.
The James House is the only fully accredited, award-winning, local non-profit organization providing cost-free, confidential services for people affected by domestic violence, sexual violence and stalking to empower them to become healthy, safe, and self-sufficient. We are the proud winners of the 2012 Excellence in Organizational Management Award and the 2008 Cleveland A. Wright Award from The Cameron Foundation. Our volunteers participate in rigorous training and are held to high ethical standards. Volunteer opportunities include:
Administrative Support Assistant
Technical Support Specialist
Community Outreach Specialist
Client Services Specialist
Crisis Services Specialist
Accompaniment Specialist
Volunteers are expected to make a minimum 12-month commitment upon completion of training.
