| Charterhouse School Day Program | | Youth 11-18 years of age who live in the Richmond area and are struggling in their school setting attend our specialized education day program offered by Charterhouse School. We accept students with poor motivation, poor impulse control, short attention span, withdrawn behavior and with the following conditions: emotional disturbances, learning disabilities, perceptual disorders, language disorders,
and hyperactivity. In this individualized program, students learn academic and social-emotional skills enabling them to return successfully to their community schools. Charterhouse School is licensed by the Virginia Department of Education and accredited by the Virginia Association of Independent Specialized Education Facilities. Our Charterhouse School Day Program is in session from September through June and offers a flexible innovative academic program aligned with the Virginia Standards of Learning. The program promotes academic excellence, creativity, and social and personal responsibility. Summer and after-school programs are available.
