800 Children Helpline Volunteers
 
Prevent Child Abuse Virginia (PCAV)

Responsible for providing information, guidance and support to parents and professionals calling 800 CHILDREN, a seven-day per week helpline operating 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. MSW, LCSW or related degree and experience working with family issues. Knowledge of human service systems, such as courts, CPS or mental health, or education. Knowledge of child development and positive parenting practices. Excellent telephone, interpersonal and organizational skills.

Beginning July 1,volunteer help is needed to supplement staff resources. Calls may be answered from a home phone or cell phone for those who cannot volunteer at our office located in the Willow Lawn area.
