Legislative Advocacy Seminar
Former Sergeant Bill Lightfoot served with the Richmond Police Dept. for 36 years. He has served as an investigator and supervisor with the Property Crimes Unit, the Robbery & Homicide Division, The Narcotics Division, and the Criminal Intelligence Unit. He is a graduate of the Virginia Criminal Justice Instructors School and the National Intelligence Academy in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. He holds a B.S. Degree in Criminal Justice. Bill has extensive experience in the investigation of violent crimes, case preparation and evidence collection. He is experienced in the design, development and management of training programs for law enforcement personnel as well as the presentation of training sessions to other disciplines. Bill has developed and delivered training in Domestic Violence, Elder Abuse Investigations, Financial Exploitation of the Elderly, Multi-Disciplinary Team Building, Forensic Case Studies, Violence Against Women with Disabilities, Violence Against the Disabled, Domestic Violence in Later Life and Human Trafficking. He has also assisted other agencies, both government and private, in the development of Domestic Violence and Elder Abuse protocols and policies. He works with private industry to develop Domestic Violence protocols. We are so fortunate to have Bill Lightfoot to come and present these seminars in Petersburg.
