Step Out: Walk to Stop Diabetes
Join us on a beautiful Fall Saturday morning, as we walk down Richmond’s own Monument Avenue. Enjoy the scenery of one of Richmond's oldest neighborhoods and a wide variety of foliage in striking fall colors. In addition, you will be raising money to help find a cure and stop diabetes. Grab your family, friends and co-workers, lace up your walking shoes and join us for a fun-filled and meaningful morning! Beginning at St. Mary's Hospital, you will have the opportunity to visit our Wellness Village, play in our Kid Zone and enjoy some lively entertainment. Then you will stroll up spectacular Monument Avenue, and explore some of the fabulous neighborhoods of the Near West End. Form a team or register as an individual walker. Either way, we are sure you'll have fun! The money you raise will help fund education for patients and their families; advocacy efforts; and important research designed to find a cure for this potentially life threatening disease. Please join us in helping the 1.9 million Virginians battling diabetes and pre-diabetes every day. A light lunch will be provided for participants in appreciation for their support to help STOP diabetes!
