"War so Terrible: Richmond 1862" Walking Tour
Explore the impact a year of war had on the Confederacy’s capital as it became a city of hospitals and refugees. Learn about the daily struggles of those on the homefront striving to make due in a war torn world. The tour begins at the Museum of the Confederacy. Advance reservations required. Cost: Free for members, $10 for non-members (includes Museum admission). The tour begins at Main Street Station in the heart of Shockoe Bottom (lot and street-side parking). This semi-strenuous walk will last approx. 1 hour 30 min and will pass through areas of uneven pavement. Please plan accordingly.
