| Academic Instructor | | | | Pathways | | Pathways, a not-for-profit, faith-based community development corporation in Petersburg, Virginia, is seeking a full-time Academic Instructor for its youth/young adult leadership, education, and career development programs. Programs focus on youth ages 17-24 and include juvenile offenders and out-of-school youth. Responsibilities include coordination of academic program, individual and group instruction in GED, development of ILPs, remedial instruction, and college preparation. Subjects will include both mathematics and language arts and will include coordination with vocational instructors for educational integration and project based learning. | Minimum qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree, mastery of Microsoft Office including Word and Excel, good oral and written communication skills, excellent classroom management skills, drivers’ license with good driving record, and love of teamwork.
