| Driver/Merchandiser | | | | Richmond Metropolitan Habitat for Humanity | JOB PURPOSE:
This position primary responsibility is to provide efficient transport and delivery services for the Richmond Metropolitan Habitat for Humanity ReStore.
As a direct report to the Store Manager, this position will safely transport and deliver corporate and residential donations, as well as ensure the delivery of purchased product to ReStore customers. Additionally, this position will assist with the readiness, organization and maintenance of the physical warehouse and store floor.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
· Responsible for the transport and delivery of ReStore products to customers in the Richmond Metro area
· Provides receipts to donors for all donated goods
· Ensures proper maintenance of vehicles and equipment
· Adheres to all ReStore safety regulations
· Stocks shelves
· Processes incoming merchandise
· Assists with pricing of merchandise
· Provides excellent customer service by promptly responding to customer inquiries
· Maintenance and cleaning of the store as needed
· Other duties may be assigned as necessary |
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
· Belief in Habitat for Humanity’s global mission, principles and structure
· Ability to lift and carry up to 35lbs
· Must be able to drive a non-CDL 24 to 26 ft. truck in standard as well as automatic
· Ability to read a road map, and possess a satisfactory knowledge of Richmond Metro area
· Ability to communicate positively and productively, verbally and in writing, with both external
and internal customers
· Ability to work in inclement weather to include extreme hot/cold, wet, humid conditions
· Ability to climb ladders up to 20'
· Ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods of time
· Ability to work a rotating schedule, including nights and weekends
MINIMUM EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
· High school diploma or GED
· Minimum of one year experience in transportation and delivery services
