The Southside Virginia Nonprofit Resource Center (SVNRC) is a specialty library and support center that provides resources to help local organizations and individuals as they work to strengthen the community. What sets this Center apart from other resources, is the dedicated staff who provides one-on-one assistance with finding the resources that meet the specific needs of you and your organization. The services at the Southside Virginia Nonprofit Resource Center are all absolutely FREE and can be accessed at anytime during regular library hours.

The Foundation Center Directory Online is a database of more than 96,000 grant makers and over $1.5 million recent grants nationwide. It is a paid membership resource made available through the Resource Center for free.
How do I access the Foundation Center Directory Online?
Free access to the Foundation Center Directory Online is available at any computer in the Appomattox Regional Library and can be accessed at anytime during normal library hours (M-Th, 10a.m. - 9p.m., F-Sat., 10a.m. - 6p.m., Closed Sundays). Resource Center Specialist Shari Henry will discuss access to and use of this resource during Resource Center appointments. If you are already familiar with the Foundation Center Directory Online, you can search the database from the Resource Center computer without making an apointment.
What is Find It VA?
Find It Virginia is a collection of databases that provide access to resources such as newspapers, magazine and journal articles, and books such as encyclopedias. Access to this collection is free and only requires a Virginia library card. up to date electronic versions of publications like The Chronicle of Philanthropy can be accessed through this database.
