Modest Needs is a public charity whose mission is to stop the cycle of poverty before it starts for the low-income workers whom conventional philanthropy many times leaves out. Four types of grants are available: Self-sufficiency, Back-to-Work, Independent Living, and Nonprofit. Visit the

Council for Certification in Volunteer Administration
The Council for Certification in Volunteer Administration advances the profession and practice of volunteer resource management by articulating core competencies for the profession of volunteer administration, certifying individuals who demonstrate knowledge and competence in the leadership of volunteers, advancing standards of ethical practice, promoting professional development and education.
 
Virginia Service Resource Library
The Resource Library is an online library of over 200 documents related to community service, non-profit administration and volunteer management including technical assistance documents, statistics, and best practice guides.
