Central Virginia Health Planning Agency

Karen is the Executive Director of the Central Virginia Health Planning Agency, a nonprofit regional health planning agency serving 27 cities/counties. Karen has more than 20 years experience in health care planning, community development and management. She has a BA from the University of Virginia in biology and psychology, a MHA from the Medical College of Virginia of Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) and a post-graduate certificate in Nonprofit Management from VCU. She is a fellow in the America College of Healthcare Executives, a board member of the American Health Planning Associations and a member of the Honorary Society of Phi Kappa Phi. Her background includes six years as a health care management consultant for two national firms and hospital-based experience as Vice President for planning and marketing.
