Writing an Effective Business Plan with Gail Merridew.

MAKING CRITICAL DECISIONS
A PRACTICAL GUIDE FOR NONPROFIT ORGANIZATIONS

BY ROBERTA M. SNOW & PAUL H. PHILLIPS

One definition of the word critical is "Forming, or of the nature of, a crisis." Crisis is defined in part as "a turning point." If you are an administrator you have had to make a decision that will cause major change for others - a critical decision that results in a turning point.
"Making Critical Decisions" offers a proven model for making hard choices that minimize risks while maintaining progress toward the organization's mission. It provides a practical matix-style framework for understanding and implementing the decision-making process. Working decisions out in a matrix gives you time, allows you to focus, and in some cases relieve the anxiety behind making critical decisions. "Making Critical Decisions" is in the Resource Center under Call# 658.4 Sno.
