Wendy Austin has worked for more than twenty five years in communications and marketing management in the nonprofit (U.S. Pharmacopeial Convention), government, (Uniformed Services University for the Health Sciences) and business (founded, operated for nine years, and divested ownership of an independent bookstore) sectors. She has extensive business start-up experience, including the launch of ConnectSouthside in August 2007. Wendy is an active community volunteer and has served as a Court Appointed Special Advocate for abused and neglected children with Henrico Co. CASA since 2005. Wendy also serves on the Chesterfield County Committee on the Future as appointed by The Honorable Daniel Gecker, Midlothian Supervisor.
